WHY FUND THE ADAPTATION NETWORK?
The Adaptation Network is South Africa’s most extensive network of climate change adaptation practitioners. Since 2009, we’ve created a well networked and sufficiently resourced and enabling environment that allows practitioners from multiple sectors to interact and exchange their knowledge, skills and experiences.
Adaptation Network catalyzes the transition to a climate resilient nation for all by:
- Initiating an effective communication platform for a connected network of adaptation practitioners from multiple sectors.
- Initiating an effective communication platform for a connected network of adaptation practitioners from multiple sectors.
- Developing the capacity of practitioners in the adaptation field through innovative workshops, peer leaning events and an Adaptation Network Academy starting 2018.
- By facilitating knowledge exchanges to improve implementation of sound adaptation plans and strategies across sectors and scales.
