The Minister of Environmental Affairs, Mrs Edna Molewa officially opened the National Climate Change Response Dialogue, yesterday, 10 November 2014 at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Gauteng. The conference participants present yesterday included delegates from across South Africa and Africa as well as representatives from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Groups.
The topics covered during yesterday’s session included discussions from the IPCC Working Groups I,II and III which focused on climate projections, adaptation and mitigation. The large exhibition area facilitates a platform for numerous organisations to display their respective project work and information, creating an interactive space for networking and collaboration among all delegates. Various group sessions are scheduled for the remainder of the four day conference.
