This animated presentation explores what climate-resilient development pathways involve through visual metaphors. It emerged from a session at the Adaptation Network Colloquium (July 2024), where researchers and practitioners were sharing their experiences of working with pathways to enhance development and reduce climate risks in the Eastern Cape and Western Cape. An illustrator, Claire Rousell, helped visualise some of the key messages emerging from these interactions and experiences. Five learnings about imagining and actualising development pathways that are more equitable and climate resilient are shared to keep growing the conversations, efforts and pathways.
