The Mobile Journalism Workshop, organised by Indigo Development and Change, was a 5-day training programme held in East London, South Africa. It featured 12 female participants aged 25 to 28 and was facilitated by Mr. Dominique.
Throughout the workshop, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of mobile journalism, including photography, video recording, and editing. They learned to use the Universal Smartphone Video Kit and practised their skills through various activities, such as taking photos in the community and conducting interviews.
Key highlights included practical sessions at Kusile High School and Hill View Farms, where participants overcame audio challenges and successfully completed their video projects. The workshop provided valuable hands-on experience, equipping participants with essential mobile journalism skills.
