Youth Event: Climate Change and Mitigation
The event featured discussions on the dangers of not recycling, sustainable farming methods, and the importance of environmental justice. Practical sessions included demonstrations on composting and tree planting. Other sessions focused on business opportunities in farming and waste management, community policing, and journalism.

Local Stakeholder Field Visit in eMangwaneni CSO SEED Capacity Building Training Event
The event featured field visits to restoration sites in eMangwaneni and Impendle, where participants observed various restoration efforts. Highlights included demonstrations of the nappies experiment for growing Napier fodder and community-led spring rehabilitation. Additionally, participants learned about rangeland grazing management through the Herding for Health (H4H) project. The day concluded with a joint reflection session and a discussion on Conservation Agriculture (CA) at the home of the Induna of Ntwasahlobo.

Bergville Field Exchange Visit (CSO SEED)
Participants engaged in a two-day field exchange, visiting various conservation agriculture (CA) plots in Bergville. They observed intercropping techniques, compared open-pollinated and hybrid seed varieties, and discussed sustainable farming practices. The visit included practical demonstrations of runoff monitoring and the use of innovative planting tools.

Adaptation and Just Transition in the South African Food System
The workshop on Adaptation and Just Transition in the South African Food System, organised by EMBO Yakwa Ntu, NPO, and TCOE, brought together 39 participants, including youth, women, and adult males. Despite a delayed start, the session began at 09:30 am with Ms. Busisiwe Mganxgela’s welcome address, followed by Ms. Mhlati outlining the objectives. Mr. Eddie Parichi presented on “Provocation on just transition in the food systems.”
